Executive Communication & Leadership Presence Programme

It can be very lonely at the top. A leader has to endure many criticisms. He or she needs to have a clear vision on the strategy and preferably a roadmap of a future policy. Sometimes he needs to bring forward a cultural change and make the right decisions with his head, heart, and stomach.

It’s all about communication!

Executive Communication is what you need during your meetings with the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board. You have to be able to explain the company’s strategy to them, but also when you meet with the Works Council, at job interviews, when you negotiate with the unions and when interviewed by journalists.
Executive Communication is also important to connect with the management team and your employees when you inform investors and other stakeholders. Or when you meet members of a governmental or municipal administration.
How do you live up to your reputation as the main representative of your organization?

So communication skills are of vital importance to be a successful Executive. You have to be persuasive and complete in telling your story. A CEO has to be a ‘great communicator’. How do you become one?

My coaching confronts you with your personal communication through these questions:
Who am I?
How do I come across?
How do I make my introduction?
In what way can I make a difference?
What is my vision?
What are my beliefs?

To ask questions and to receive answers
In this programme we attend to these questions:

What physical appearance do I have?
How do I sit, how do I stand, how do I move?
Is the impression I have on others expressive of how I feel?

How do I strike the right note?
How can I be approachable?
How do I break the ice?

How can I connect myself with different audiences?
Is it clear enough what I bring out into the open?
Are my intention and mission understandable and transparent?

How can I inspire others?
What is my best communicative skill and how do I use it best?

Am I authentic in how I behave?
On form and content, professional communication with a personal commitment and with emotion and empathy when required.
Do I communicate in a mature way?

Programme of training in three phases
The programme consists of three phases:

  • Phase 1: your individual communication skills
  • Phase 2: your communication with your circle of acquaintances
  • Phase 3: your communication skills in your daily practice

The program has 10 sessions of 2 hours, 2 to 3 weeks apart. In the intervening weeks you’ll be given assignments. The programme is specially written for your individual wishes and needs, we can always customize it.

What you will achieve!

  1. To inspire others with your presentation and communication skills, I can help you to achieve this.
  2. How do you come straight to the point, what building blocks can you use? I can also help you to achieve this.
  3. To present with humor, with commitment, to come full circle in your story. Do you interact with your audience, do you ask the right questions? Can you engage the audience the whole time? I can definitely help you to achieve this!

In this programme I will put you in front of a camera during sessions to confront you with what is lacking in your presentation skills. We will work on these weaknesses. You can practice your improvements with clear assignments.

The programme Executive Communication & Leadership Presence will teach you to listen actively and to put your audience on its toes. We will address communication skills during crises. How do you perform when a crisis occurs? Do you have a communication strategy planned? Who needs to be in the Crisis Team? How do you act as a spokesperson? What skills do you have to maintain your confidence?
